• Following up on our report regarding the CM Punk promo directed at Hangman Page this past Saturday in Greensboro, we have been told that CM Punk has apologized to Page directly, via text message.
• Punk also claims he had nothing to do with Hangman Page being sent away from the building on Saturday, and has told people that had he known Page was in the building, he would have attempted to speak to him to work towards building a potential program.
• Punk himself told a Flagship source "I 100% am the reason (Nick) Nemeth and (Christopher) Daniels were sent home". There is longstanding heat with Nemeth. Daniels is one of a handful of people who made it a point to avoid Punk at Forbidden Door, which also included the Bucks, Jack Perry, Matt Hardy, and Britt Baker, so that heat is not something new to anyone internally.

Somehow those first two points completely work against the last point, with what came out earlier. Like I said earlier, if the Elite guys don't want to work with him and move on from the shit that went down last year, why the fuck does he try so hard to ignore that? ...and then he uses the whole "Let's move on" routine when he talked to Nemeth, but also is still pissy about Daniels not being fired like Ace was, since both were involved in breaking up the situation last year, even though Ace was the one who fuckin' bit someone, while Daniels didn't do anything?

I do like Punk, but man, you can't fault people for thinking he's a douchebag and at the core of all the shit (and not in an innocent, involuntary kind of way)

There is often great money to be had by resolving issues, being professional and getting together and working a program. I think at this point hangman and punk would have a killer program but more importantly, dude a fuckin match with Kenny omega would lit the world on fire.

Hangman I think so. Omega is harder to say. The stakes are bigger with Omega and he’s retiring not too long after Punk does.

I personally can say with all earnestness that I don't care if I ever see Punk vs. Omega. Don't deny that it would create a ton of buzz. But honestly it just doesn't matter to me... there are endless other possibilities for both men going forward that I won't be dismayed about that match not happening.

Oh of course... and I don't think anyone would disagree, even the people involved. ...but if they simply don't wanna work with Punk, then he can't play the "move on" card in a situation where it fits his path, while also trying to wiggle what he wants onto guys, who also just want to move on from the whole thing themselves.

because the longer he doesn't feud with top guys in hot angles, the more his drawing power fades. if he draws less, tony is less likely to put up with his bullshit.

and Im not saying Punk no longer draws. but looking at all the metric, he already draws LESS than he did when he first came back. He knows working with the Elite makes it the hottest program in the company and makes him invaluable.
