The reason for debuting a guy the size of Rusev against the usual cast of jobbers is the impact. He beats, Xavier Woods, R-Truth, Zack Ryder, etc., and it gives Titus O'Neill an excuse to challenge him with "you've never competed against somebody as big as you are", so there's greater impact when he beats O'Neil; then Mark Henry can talk about how strong he is, but "you're not the strongest man in the world". Again, good impact when he beats Henry; then Show can challenge him with "but can you beat a giant?". Bigger impact when he beats Show.

And you might dismiss O'Neill, Henry, and Show as jobbers, but Henry and Show have both been well-established as championship level performers, both having carried world championships in WWE (and WCW, if we're talking about Show). But, this gives Rusev a record to brag about when he challenges Sheamus, Batista, Orton, Cena, etc.

He is still announced as Alexander Rusev by Lana and she also still calls him the Bulgarian Brute but says that he resides in Russia.

and please stop coming back every few days just to bump all your threads up. If you have nothing useful to contribute then don't.

As far as Rusev goes IMO he's not fat enough to be a fat guy or muscular enough to be a muscle guy. Hasn't really impressed me tbh.

Guess I'm the only one who likes him then? I liked him back in NXT though. I do think he came up way to quick however.

Yeah, Maybe you should stop comparing a Young Talent such as Rusev to a Guy like Tensai.

I don't see anymore dancing clown in the WWE anymore.....Clay is down in NXT, Tensai is a Commentator.

Rusev has a Future somewhere on the title scene....He has the skills for it and with Lana as his Manager, I have no problems.

You, though, Constantly Bitch about anyone who isn't Paige, Brock Lesner or Barbie Blank (Who isn't talented at all....She was only Eye Candy....that's all.) Only an Idiot would think she's Tale....Oh Wait, I'm talking to one.

I wouldn't say that. He's got a good look and some solid in-ring ability, plus a terrific young manager/valet in Lana doing his talking for him.

They can do some really good things with him. I think they should have him go on a rampage directed toward proving how he's so superior to Americans that he can be a dominant U.S. Champion. Once they see how he can carry a belt, let him move up the card naturally.

I'm afraid, however, they'll push him directly to the main event too soon and ruin his character.

I've been expecting this to happen since before they even debuted him on the main roster. I keep getting an Umaga vibe from him - a foreign monster who they'll get push hard and get over quickly with an undefeated streak and probably get one or two main event matches out of before they job him out to either Cena, Bryan or Reigns (after Reigns becomes WWE Champion) and then shoot him back down to the midcard. I don't even mind because these big men monster type of heels usually lose some of their muster (as a main event attraction) once they've been beaten a few times anyway. An upper-midcard mainstay (perhaps as an asset to the tag team division as well if he gets paired up with the right partner) is an ideal place for him.
