Del Rio has always been great, if it weren't for him Ziggler might've gotten an actual lengthy title run and no-one wanted that.

It was Swagger who gave him the concussion, champ.

Good babyface after leaving, especially the fire he showed on those "I HATE WWE AND THEY'RE RACIST" promos. If he's supposed to be a heel now it may be boring (although Zeb will be there I guess), but anyway. Considering he was (is?) AAA Mega Champ, I'll admit right here I was very surprised with his return, that made it more interesting for me.

I hated del rio's guts back in 2011(when I first started watching), but he grew on me with time. Glad to have him back.

He still is AAA Mega Champion. And according to Konnan, who's a major staff member in AAA, Del Rio is still gonna be making dates with AAA. He was even backstage at RAW. Taking pictures with staff and workers.

Is this a talent sharing agreement? This is a really interesting situation.

Backstage News On Alberto Del Rio's New WWE Deal, Will He Miss Monday's RAW For AAA?

New WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio reportedly signed a new deal with a $1,450,000 per year downside, with a reduced schedule. Del Rio is getting the big money because WWE feels like they really need a Hispanic star.

Del Rio is still the AAA Mega Champion and AAA could not match WWE's offer. Del Rio wanted to keep a good relationship with AAA while still keeping his WWE return a secret and told AAA officials Dorian Roldan and Konnan about his decision on either the evening of October 24th or the morning of October 25th, which was Hell In a Cell Sunday. Del Rio claimed then that the deal was just put together and finalized, giving the impression that he would finish up his scheduled dates. AAA was disappointed but it appears there are no hard feelings.

Del Rio reportedly pushed for WWE to allow him to finish his scheduled dates. AAA had plans to do Del Rio vs. Jeff Jarrett in a hair vs. hair match on December 5th at Guerra de Titanes but now they are re-doing plans for that show. AAA is under the impression that Del Rio would be working the November 2nd show in Nuevo Laredo instead of WWE RAWin Denver, this coming Monday. If that does happen, it's because Del Rio insisted. Del Rio was scheduled for more AAA dates while WWE is in Europe but there's been no confirmation on whether or not he will be allowed to work them.

Okay, obviously my first reaction was simply "Why?" because Dorito in WWE was terrible...

But actually, this time he might get over. He's no longer the boring overpushed guy screaming about destiny, he's the dude who was wrongfully fired after delivering a one-punch KTFO on some racist jackass. :dawg:
(He's the next Stone Cold, doing the stuff we want to do at our jobs, but we can't just go to Mexico for more money so we just do it vicariously through him!)
Putting Zeb with him was brilliant though. Not only does it give Del Rio material and a mouthpiece - two things he needs - but it also reminds people about this situation in catering.
Best use of 2015 Kayfabe ever. Great booking WWE.

He's actually over and people genuinely want to see him. He has potential in this run. Hopefully he lives up to it. Knowing the worker that Del Rio is, I don't think I'll be disappointed.

WWE seems to have been trying to keep ADR booked for as long as possible. They even booked over his pre-booked Monday AAA appearance. AAA will have to wait until after November to get ADR to drop their own title.

WWE are freaking shams. They bitch and moan about WCW, yet they do this shit.

Now I think he has a boring gimmick and need a shitload of work still but what shocked me is just he's back in the WWE after what happened a year or so back with the slap shit. I never thought he would return especially when he snuck his way out of the no compete clause, that was like a big fuck you to WWE. Now that he's back the only thing keeping him interesting is Zeb Colter who is doing a phenomenal job making sure their partnership makes sense. Del Rio though in that interview on Raw last week just lost me though, I have no idea what the hell he was saying.

If the WWE can work this to the same level as back in 2013 with Colter and Jack Swagger (which was great but got killed due to the weed incident and face Del Rio being shoved at us) by making Alberto's persona more on a union of America and Mexico and how sometimes the US disgraces Mexicans who come through the borders legally but are judged, that would be a hell of a great heel persona.
