I can see it being a publicity stunt. As entertaining as TNA can be at times, they don't really get people talking when it comes to the actual product (for the most part). It's almost always backstage stuff that gets people talking about TNA (talent being released, pay cuts, getting paid late, Hogan leaving, Dixie possibly selling the company, "TFA GONE OF BUILDNESS" etc.
It's always been one thing I noticed about TNA.
WWE may be boring as fuck, but they are pretty good at getting people to talk about the product (even if they do fuck every decent angle). ex; Bryan winning the title/getting screwed, Authority, Reigns killing everyone, HBK/Bryan, Title unification, etc.
