For what it's worth, I have heard that Punk is a dick when dealing with people who are disrespectful. I've also heard he's a private person and doesn't like being bothered in public by people unless he welcomes them to do so. I know his "Best in the World" character is a pompous ass who thinks he's better than everybody else.
But, here's the thing, and there's really no getting around it: Punk has the respect of Undertaker, JBL, and John Cena. These are three guys who have always put the company first and have run guys out of the business who haven't done half as much as Punk has been accused of by Konnan. Oh, and we're now buying the B.S. that Konnan is selling? I'm sure there's somebody in the WWE locker room that doesn't like Punk, just like there's somebody in the back that doesn't like HHH, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, ADR, etc., etc., etc. Nobody in the world is universally loved. To quote a friend of mine, "Even Jesus had enemies."
BTW, I know you're a big KK fan, BLFFL. I'm also certain that you don't know all of the guys she's slept with, any more than I know for sure that Punk's sleeping with AJ. When people live under that spotlight, everything gets magnified. One of the things you have to remember is that these people (Phil Brooks, Barbara Jean Blank, April Mendez) are not the characters they portray on the show (CM Punk, Kelly Kelly, AJ Lee). JBL once goose-stepped around the ring doing the Nazi salute in Germany to get heat. This doesn't mean that John Layfield is a Nazi (quite the contrary, he's a libertarian...pretty much the polar opposite). The characters they portray are characters. Calling AJ a slut just because she rose to the top after Kelly Kelly left doesn't mean she slept her way to the top. Maybe she got there because she's a very talented in-ring performer who gets a huge reaction from crowds.
