As someone that puts both Edge and Punk in my top 5 favorite WWE Superstars of that 2005-2015 era, I think Edge is infinitely more well known and a more recognizable superstar since he was in WWE from 1998 until basically yesterday if you don’t count his retirement, but Edge was never as over as CM Punk was in his prime. Punk in 2011-2013 rivaled Cena for the top spot. Edge was also the perennial top bad guy though so he never got the chance to be seen as the top guy in WWE since it was always a babyface fed.

I have a friend who doesn't like wrestling and never watches it but who knows Edge from that South Park episode

Edge is my second favorite of all time. So I’m definitely happy to see him here.

But yeah I mean it’s definitely the biggest signing I think because, let’s look at the numbers. If you take the 24/7 title out of the mix, no one has more titles in WWE than Edge. Like he’s the most decorated superstar in WWE history. One of the best ever, and now he’s going to be tearing it up in AEW? I’m excited to see what Adam does

Of all time, I’d slot him in around 6th or 7th. He definitely was my favorite during a certain period. But all time he’s just outside the top 5.
