Definitely a good heat segment to end the show on especially when you’re in Washington but damn it feels like overkill.

They’re really staying on Bryan in the ring. The announcers are really choking up on commentary about it. They’re really giving the American Dragon and his exit the deference that it’s earned. Good stuff.

And murder him they fucking did. He took a pile driver on the announce table, a death rider on the concrete exposed floor. He got choked the fuck out and then got Pilmanized with the chair on the neck. A goated way out.

I still think we got short changed on his actual run with the belt, but at least the final match made up for a little bit of it. Because that was incredible.

I still don’t think AEW hit the mark with a good story heading into how he won the title but I think the story with him and Mox was the perfect way to take the belt off of him. I’m looking forward to the next arc.

It also helps that Jay White just came back and started a great program with a great match with hangman and is now a good baby face and Adam Cole just returned tonight and is presumably gonna be a baby face.

So much to look forward to in my AEW watch right now.

Rewatched zero hour as I missed the ROH TV title match. I can’t believe how long people slept on the machine. Brian Cage is so good in that ring and he just looks amazing. The older he gets it seems like the more finely tuned he gets. He’s so fast for a guy as built as he is. His character work is also impeccable. The only tool he’s missing is his promo work and that’s easily fixable with a mouthpiece like Don Callis.

So happy to see him getting a resurgence in his AEW career. I’d be content with him just getting booked consistently, but I am definitely very proud that he’s won back the Ring of Honor television championship. Looking forward to seeing what he can do now that he’s with Don Callis.
