The thing with the underdog role though is I don’t think it’ll work in AEW without Tony holding him back like Trips did for most of 2013 into that WrestleMania. His heel stuff only requires him to be him dialed to 11.

Yeah, I agree. The real life scenario of Bryan being held down played in to it a lot, him beating Triple H and winning that triple threat in the same night. Felt surreal because they wanted it to be Batista.
