I just laughed at someone on Twitter that made a whole thread trying to debunk this and all I said was I think I’ll trust Forbes over random Twitter user.

Their value is not public.......no one knew the UFC's actual value until now because of the TKO merger........just saying.

Forbes look like they relying on hearsay imo.......good thing this company isn't public.......the investors would've packed up shop already.

You mean the two investors that own the company that are worth billions of dollars? I’m sure they’re just itching to pack up shop.

Anyone remember the story about how Shane McMahon wanted to buy UFC in 2004?

AEW still pays taxes and a lot of their revenue is public. It's also a valuation which is always speculative. Private and public companies are evaluated all the time.

UFC and WWE are 1 and 2 and AEW is 3 I don't see why certain folk want to turn this negative or tribalistic lol

Tbh tho it's a shame no other wrestling company is close to what WWE and AEW is worth. We need more high value companies = good for business and the wallets of wrestlers alike.

You think successful people like taking L's? You never watch Shark Tank?
It’s weird how often this has to be explained but let me try one more time. Yes, business people don’t get into business ventures to lose money, typically. However, AEE was not started on the principle of wanting to make money. Whether you want to see this as a good thing or a bad thing.

The point of the matter is Tony just saw an opportunity to bring a different style of wrestling to the United States based on the appetite that the US was having towards the new Japan pro wrestling tours in the United States, the popularity of the elite and the bullet club, and the success of the independent show all in. Tony does not care about whether he makes money or else he wouldn’t spend the kind of money that he does. AEW could easily curb their budget if he wanted to. He does not.

Now let’s get to his father. His father‘s name is never mentioned in reference to AEW business. Never. Not when it comes to investor calls or media conferences. Not in negotiations with contracts or creative. As far as I can tell, the father has absolutely nothing to do with the company outside of the initial seed money. And he’s also never given any kind of statement indicating that he cares about whether or not AEW is making money or not.

He’s made only two statements to my knowledge; one being that he was proud of the success that all in had achieved and two, he literally said when AEW was founded in 2019 that he’s not one of those fathers that wants to see his kids spend his money after he dies. He wants them to spend his money while he’s still here. This is not a man that cares about losing money he has so much money he can never lose it all.

Lastly. AEW made $250 million. In revenue. That is a great amount of money that was made solely off of pay-per-view and tickets. That means the fan interest is there. The only thing that is stopping AEW from making a legitimate profit is his budget, but that will be rectified once AEW has the one thing that WWE has, that makes them the most money that’s TV rights fees. They are very close to securing that and once they do this money thing will no longer be a talking point.
