They used Bash at the Beach so they’ve done it once and technically as I was typing this Wrestle Dream was a WWE live event, but I agree Tony is probably not looking to make a large habit of doing it especially considering Cody traded the bash trademark back and he had to change the name to beach break.

True, though Bash At The Beach was an overt nod to WCW, which is of course a WWE property but also a company with its own legacy. WrestleDream kinda similar, with that being a co-production with the SWS. Although it is a little out there, I don't totally understand the logic behind lifting that name but it's whatever

Armageddon definitely is one of the PPV names that really will forever be associated with WWE. They used it for for so many consecutive years during the AE and Ruthless Aggression Eras... there's just no way someone could use that and it not be seen as a blatant ripoff of IP. At least with Rebellion it was short lived and overseas.

I mostly agree with what you said. Although I will say though as a younger kid who has seen all the rebellions, I do think impact should’ve also avoided using the name personally. And that’s just because I think they have a Lotta names in their back pocket. I know they revived. I want to say eight of them for plus specials but there’s like two that they’re not currently using.

I do like the name wrestle dream and at least with that one it goes even father back then rebellion so I can look past that one because I didn’t even know wrestle dream existed until AEW used it. So I would definitely think they can keep using that because I like that name.

I mean I have no issue at all with Wrestle Dream as a name, or the usage of it given its history. I just thought it was an odd one to pull considering Inoki wasn't even the promoter of SWS or on that card... I guess TK just really liked the name.

Exactly. It’ll be a funny inside joke. Specially because with them being on TNT TBS, who has history promoting the World War III event in the past, so this would be their world war four. Plus war and four rhyme so they’ll be fun.
