Dude, I love this. It's long overdue for Owen to get a memorial Cup named after him. :proud

I'm not sure what the point of an action figure is though since he never worked for AEW.

If the proceeds go to the foundation then it's just a charity thing and cool for fans that like collecting. I don't think WWE ever had permission to make one

Just a legacy thing. I feel like AEW will start doing what WWE with honoring legends and all.

Yeah seems like it, they just have take the deals like this instead of relying on their own history.

What tape libraries are available for purchase :garrett

Depending on how indie and all they would want to go there is a couple of good ones they could get.

I've actually thought they should try and buy up some indie ones for an eventual streaming service. Especially ones that their guys wrestled in before AEW

I wouldn't be opposed to that honestly. While, I am not a AEW fan, I do think certain companies and all would be better/great in their hands per say like just think they could gets the rights to PWG and all. I would also wouldn't mind it if they just united some of the companies they work with under a single streaming service like IMPACT and such.

This is so fucking cool. Can't wait for this tournament and glad Owen's legacy is alive and well again in professional wrestling.

Saying it now. Pillman Jr wins the first one.

I was just coming in to say Pillman Jr. is the only person even close to deserving of winning it

Like it just makes sense given the history and everything. Maybe Kevin Steen at some point after he makes the jump can win it as well, seeing as he named his son after Owen. But yeah Pillman Jr winning the first one is the right call.

Calling a trophy "The Owen" is the only cringe thing in this entire situation tbh.

Mainly because that just doesn't sound good, The Owen Cup sounds better imo....you don't call the Stanley Cup, the Stanley.
