Reviews I’ve heard have said this show was amazing with the exception of the main event.

That Mariah/Toni match looked brutal as fuck.

Main was just kinda boring, I fell asleep. Cope is gonna lose to swerve so I don't really get this new "cope won't put ppl over" trope that seems to have suddenly appeared (why would a legend put random dudes in midcard over idk). I thought the ending sequence was pretty lame in the match though and after a night of 5 star matches they obviously stuck out as the worst match of the night . Didn't think it was bad match just kinda meh. The swerve ending was fantastic tho

And the fact that swerve is in Philly one year away from his first challenge is great story telling . Seems like they putting the belt back on swerve . Fwiw if have loved to see the fuckery of Jay white but I'm glad cope lost

I'm sure we will.get lots of exaggerated outrage at the main though kek. I will say I do wish they'd have done like one shock or surprise though. Show was a bit predictable even tho the action was sublime

sorry to posts so much unprompted but I still do agree I didn't really love the structure of the main event, it needed some more drama and I think it could have been better pulled off. And I think it is a very fair critcism that people want high octane 5 star matches or close for the main event in the company that promotes high tier in ring performance. I think Mox is a great wrestler but I agree this main did not reach the level aew fans are accustomed to for the main, and its been a bit long for heat filled brawls mainers. I think it would indeed be wise to put the title on Swerve and get back to that at Dynasty - I admit I am incorrect and it would be a mistake to keep the belt on Jon until August

and not to make it tribal but I do think people rather see AEW originals most of the time (tho mox i still think is an original in my book). Cope is super over with the crowd but at the same time i dont think the crowd wants him to hbe the main character either. book him like sting more
