It’s honestly wild how much everyone complains about contract tampering, but then you hear like every one of those people was also complicit in it. Jericho and big show especially both confirmed that they 100% had meetings with Vince when they were still under WCW contracts. I will say Bischoff was a little smarter in WCW because he would never personally talk to someone under WWF contract but he’d have DDP talk to them about a deal that bish was offering them. Lol.

Yeah, like you definitely gotta be smart about it. Because I mean they are definitely always something going on. It’s how someone can show up right away on their contract ending. As deals don’t come together that fast I’m sure lol.

To be fair, I don’t think Paul would make the call. I’m saying if Tony made the call, Paul would pick up and would entertain a trade for the footage.

What I meant was, hypothetically if Tony had called, I believe WWE already owes him one. He didn’t get anything in return for that. Which if it’s tried to be said “well it was to honor someone, you don’t get anything in return for that.” Then fair play, but at the same time then WWE still gets nothing in return here, because it’s to honor someone.

But it’s a moot point anyway. Tony probably didn’t ask, video was still good at the end of the day, and Sting got one of the best send offs ever.
