With one more show to go on December 18, AEW expects another 14,081 tickets to be sold, giving them 105,303 total tickets sold. They also touted AEW Dynamite's success of having the biggest network debut on TNT in five years, reaching 30 million people in its first two months.

Interesting. Pretty huge for a first year company. I still want both AEW and NXT to figure out how to regain the hundreds of thousands of viewers to come back after those huge debuts.

Apparently, too, AEW and NXT are both running 500k and 400k respectively based on DVR's. So live + DVR is roughly 1.3 / 1.2 mil per week viewership. Depending on whether those DVR's are from unique viewers or same viewers.

AEW is still doing fantastic for a first year company. Have to give it to them, they need to start trending up a bit next year.

Congrats AEW! That's great numbers for a company who only started doing weekly shows in October.

Considering they started almost in to the 4th quarter of the year, not too shabby numbers at all. The first year is the make or break, so, here’s hoping they don’t run out of steam. I still think a Lucha Bros feud would be amazing.

Still think them clarifying the rules, considering they're trying to be more sportsy but don't feel like it outside of rankings, would help a ton.

Also, aren't AEW's live numbers comparable to RAW and Smackdown recently? Pretty nuts if true.

Arbitrary numbers to mask their popularity, outside the rassling bubble.

Oooh they sold dis many tickets.....yayyyy :rock3

What is this participation trophy grand standing?

If WWE or hell Impact and ROH touted their tickets sales tried trumpeting a minor success, we'd be all pppppppfffffffttttttt fuck outta here......ratings and stuff.

If this includes their PPVs before they started on TNT... this really isn't that impressive.

Agree with this. They had huge hype going in, throwing huge money at established guys like Jericho and Moxley and people were actually considering them as legit competition because they were gonna be an alternative for all the disgruntled ex-wwe fans and I feel like already the newness and intrigue has somewhat died off.

To be fair though, how can you compare them to WWE? AEW does one show a week and PPVs every few months. WWE does two TV tapings a week, a PPV every month and multiple live events a month, and that's just the main roster. Of course their ticket sales would be completely different and AEW wouldn't sell anywhere close to them.

I think it's pretty impressive ticket sales for a weekly show that has only what, 10 episodes under it's belt?

I swear some people will shit on AEW no matter what. They are a brand new company and this is a great start. People expecting them to compete with WWE from day 1 have no clue or are living in a fantasy world. Guess what? Wrestling is a niche. Times have changed.

I've been saying this for years.

Look at the NXT and AEW numbers......compare it to a Raw, and it shows you just how many casuals care to watch anymore.

So they counted 16 shows with 91,000 tickets sold averaging out to 5,701 in attendance per show. I can't find any info on RAW or Smackdown attendance outside of October 17th RAW did 4k tickets and AEW outsold them attendance wise. So that's pretty dang good - ratings need to start reflecting.

Also considering DON was pretty huge for them and the following PPV's afterwards they drew really good attendance - their weekly show probably has less than 6k, they probably have slightly less than 4k.

It was stated, however, AEW's DVR results are pretty fucking high. Somewhere in the 500k's while NXT's is around the 400k's. So adding those together along with the live stats. NXT and AEW have a combined 2.7 Million people both live and DVR'ing their show. Obviously I didn't leave any room for those who DVR and watch live so you have to take into consideration that a small or large portion of that aren't unique watchers.

AEW is doing just fine in its first year. They have a looooong road ahead of them but let's hope they keep trending up
