The following are spoilers for this Friday's AEW Rampage, taped following Dynamite Wednesday in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Rampage spoilers courtesy of ITN WWE.

The pre-show featured a dark match between hometown favorite Ethan Page who picked up a win over Preston Vance.

AEW Rampage:

  • QT Marshall and Johnny TV defeated Matt Hardy and Brother Zay. The QTV crew continued to attack Hardy and Zay after the match, but Billy Gunn and Anthony Bowens made the save.
  • Shawn Spears defeated The Blade
  • Hikaru Shida defeated Taya Valkyrie
  • Claudio Castagnoli defeated Komander to retain the ROH World Championship.
Notes:
  • This was Komander's first opportunity at a Ring of Honor title and the eighth successful title defense for Castagnoli.
  • This was Spears' first AEW match since an early-June house show and first appearance on Rampage since April. He was part of the company's Toronto debut last October.
  • This was the first-ever meeting between Valkyrie and Shida.
  • This was the first AEW in-ring action for Johnny TV (John Morrison/Hennigan) since a June 2022 episode of Dynamite against Miro.

it was originally (which would have been fine, it was a tournament round 1 match) - but then Britt had to be pulled due to illness. Shida Taya match was already scheduled for Rampage so they could have just moved it to dynamite and have the Ruby squash vs local talent on Rampage instead. Just an odd choice given all that was available.

I am not disagreeing with you. I am just saying that would be the only excuse and TK didnt feel like delaying the ruby match. But yeah, Shida v Taya would have been better
