Friday night's edition of AEW Rampage averaged 722,000 viewers on TNT, down 36 percent from the previous week.

Rampage was down 2.4 percent in viewership from the premiere episode from two weeks ago, which is a fairer comparison since the August 20 show featured CM Punk's AEW debut.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage topped the cable charts, drawing a 0.34 rating. That's down 35.8 percent from the previous week, almost the exact percentage as the total audience was down. However, it was up 9.7 percent from the premiere episode in 18-49. So, this Rampage skewed much younger than the debut episode.

Rampage was tied for third on all of television in the 18-49 demo, trailing only SmackDown on Fox and ABC's 20/20.

The show also led all of cable in men 18-49 with a 0.48 rating, 20 percent higher than an NFL preseason game on ESPN that aired head-to-head with Rampage.

Here's how the show did across all the other demos as compared with the previous week and the premiere:
  • Women 18-49: 0.19 (down 45.7 percent from August 20, even with August 13)
  • Men 18-49: 0.48 (down 33.3 percent from August 20, up 14.3 percent from August 13)
  • People 18-34: 0.14 (down 57.6 percent from August 20, down 36.4 percent from August 13)
  • Females 12-34: 0.09 (down 50 percent from August 20, down 40 percent from August 13)
  • Males 12-34: 0.15 (down 57.1 percent from August 20, down 42.9 percent from August 13)
  • People 25-54: 0.39 (down 33.9 percent from August 20, up 11.4 percent from August 13)
  • People 50+: 0.23 (down 32.4 percent from August 20, down 4.2 percent from August 13)

A lot less of a dip than I thought it'd be from the premiere tbh. I wasn't expecting Punk to do those numbers anyway and I was thinking this one would be way more down from the premiere which I assume was a "good number" for them so the taped weeks I was expecting to be significantly lower
