That’s what I thought. I remembered Lambert calling him a fake ass Cowboy not too long ago.

But if dude is over in Texas and you can guarantee a huge pop, throw his ass out there any chance you can.

Plus it’s an Adam Cole match so I won’t complain. As long as he keeps the Destroyers to a minimum

AEW has been pretty great for Cole. Like his matches feel a lot better than some of his NXT ones, and I say this as a fan of his. The Christian match on Dynamite was excellent, and so was his last meeting with Hangman at Revolution.

I also think that speaking of Hangman, the fact that hes a cowboy but vulnerable is one of those genius character decisions because he appeals to sommany demographics because of it.

yup. its pretty much Hangman's specialty match.

His and Lance Archer's really. Lance has had more, but Hangman does his Cowboy shit.

I think that Archer match has been one of the best in his reign too. It was really quite awesome overall. Like we all knew Hangman was retaining, but he felt like a legit threat the more the match went on.

Honestly, all of Hangman's matches since becoming champion have been good and each one slightly different. The Danielson series was long epics with storytelling and hard hits. Archer's was a brutal brawl, and Adam Cole's match really gave me NXT Takeover vibes of being indy-tastic with a story. Hangman has thrived in his matches as champ.

The only complaint about Hangman's title reign, which I do kind of agree with was the fact he has felt a touch like a second player in his stuff. Danielson kept attacking the Dark Order and he didn't get involved quite as much as he potentially should, Archer's was heated but too short to get to another gear (and Lambert is so controversial as a figure now and not in a good way), then Cole's, while it has picked up since the PPV, the angle seemed to be a bit more about the Bucks and ReDragon than Cole and Hangman and they could have had another couple weeks to flesh out their conflict (It is there, both former BC members, friends of the Bucks, etc).
