I think Naito is just washed and phoning it in, it doesn't have to be any more than that.

The idea that a professional wrestler, regardless of their nationality, would not be acutely aware of and appreciate Sting's legendary status in the business is nuts.

I guess appreciate is debatable though. Either way, clearly the reverence wasn't enough for Naito to really get his ass in gear for that match.
