Yeah the weirdo is half right but you were talking about Mariah lol but the canon in both WWE and AEW for awhile has def been the champion gets to pick. It used to be a massive pet peeve of mind too until they started saying that and I had to concede that the champion deciding made sense, sometimes they might just wanna be first for some reason bc people are weird, I can't dispute that and I can't dispute that if would be their choice lol
