They include the current champion, but I’ve never seen them keep the history once the belt disappears.

Just the champion if the interim beats the lineal. Then they include that footnote in the lineal history.

I honestly think they should just keep the interim history and treat it like vacancies between interim champions.

id like interim history as well. either seperate, or in the championship history with a interim tag. if u walking around with a belt it should be recorded

the title histories are legit great too, they even make note of the unofficial reigns if companies don't recognize them like the ones in the 80s and stuff before TV. And then thanks to that sometimes they get retroactively recognized lol

They’re listed but they’re grayed out without numbers attached to their reigns indicating that they’re not official.

This is why I think both AEW and wiki should just include a separate history for the interim and treat it more like wiki treats money in the bank and royal rumble winners.

I think Tony specified this at the press conference but I don't remember exactly. The tweets advertising haven't been the most clear but it would be so weird if it was for the belt every match even if starring with a title match is also weird lol I never even considered every match would be for the title til I saw others mentioning it

It’s been a long time but I think the last time there was a best of series what it was was that the title wasn’t on the line until the final match.
