Wednesday night's AEW Dynamite averaged 1.152 million viewers on TNT, down 9.5 percent from last week's Grand Slam episode. It's the lowest viewership for the show since September 1.
Dynamite topped the cable charts with a 0.45 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 6.3 percent from last week.
The biggest audience declines were with women. Women 18-49 were down 20.7 percent from last week, while men 18-49 were even. Dynamite topped the cable charts with a 0.67 rating in men 18-49.
The overall 18-34 rating was down 22.6 percent, and that appears to be mostly with females. There is no specific breakdown in that age group, but females 12-34 were down 33.3 percent from last week and males 12-34 were up 3.3 percent.
Dynamite continues to fare very strongly in year-over-year comparisons. This week's show was up 33 percent in overall viewers and up 36.4 percent in the 18-49 demo from the same week in 2020. It's the 14th straight week of double digit increases in the year-over-year numbers, which coincides with the return to touring.
Last night's Dynamite took place in Rochester, New York and was dedicated to the late Brodie Lee.
The premiere of Rhodes to the Top, which aired on TNT directly after Dynamite, averaged 422,000 viewers. It drew a 0.17 rating in 18-49, ranking 16th for the night on cable.
As shown in the chart below, last night's Dynamite was consistent with the show's 10-week averages. The show was up two percent in overall viewers and up 4.7 percent in 18-49 from those averages.
