I suppose a fun kayfabe workaround could be that the person doing the whip is intentionally sending him chest first into the turnbuckle since he wants to be like Bret Hart so much

I feel similarly about backfkip sells for clotheslines, they're cool af but just don't analyze why it's only certain people that seem to get hit so hard they backflip and some smaller people get hit by the same guys and never do lol
