Wednesday night's anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 800,000 viewers on TBS, down 6.4 percent from last week. It's Dynamite's lowest audience total since May 3 and is the show's second-lowest viewership of 2023.

Dynamite drew a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 demo. That was sixth on cable in terms of sports programming with MLB Wild Card playoff games and related programming taking all of the spots above it. Dynamite's rating was steady with last week, which matches the show's lowest number since June.

Dynamite's viewership trailed what NXT averaged the previous night (857,000 viewers), which has not happened since July 2020 when the shows still aired against each other on Wednesdays. Dynamite did beat NXT in the 18-49 demo (0.28 rating to 0.22)

Due to a scheduling conflict with the MLB playoffs, Dynamite will air on Tuesday night next week and will go head-to-head with NXT.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Dynamite was down 22.9 percent in overall viewership and down 15.2 percent in the 18-49 demo.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for Dynamite, along with the 10-week averages in both categories. This week's show was down 9.8 percent in overall viewers and down 9.7 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.

And just like that Christian broke thousands of wrestling hearts :will

Copeland's and Christian's facial expressions in that segment were just fantastic. Great acting.
Yep... that was as close to perfection as you can get. Only thing that seemed off is when Cope tried to turn it like Luchasaurus and Wayne were only using Christian... which is a very weird angle to try to spin.

I saw it brought up elsewhere and thought it made sense. He was alluding to when Judgment Day kicked him out of the group last year. He knows from experience what it’s like to be used by others and then kicked to the curb and he’s just trying to warn his friend.

Eh... I think it doesn't work here. I didn't even think of the whole Judgement Day angle, tbf... and that angle was a bit to short-lived to work with this segment, imo. It feels more like they're grasping a bit.

the way I see it, is that either that Was Edge's way of trying to convince Christian to get back to the light, or, more likely: I think Edge wants to still believe that Christian has good in him and doesn't want to admit to himself Christian is using the dino and the kid and it's them using him and making him a bad person. which I agree is not true at all. I think it's the story of a friend who doesn't want to believe his bestie cant be redeemed anymore

I mean it doesn't matter in the end anyways... it doesn't bite off the excellence of the segment as a whole.

Imagine if Adam ends up having Luchasaurus and Nick join him and he becomes the villain
