Wednesday night's anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 800,000 viewers on TBS, down 6.4 percent from last week. It's Dynamite's lowest audience total since May 3 and is the show's second-lowest viewership of 2023.
Dynamite drew a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 demo. That was sixth on cable in terms of sports programming with MLB Wild Card playoff games and related programming taking all of the spots above it. Dynamite's rating was steady with last week, which matches the show's lowest number since June.
Dynamite's viewership trailed what NXT averaged the previous night (857,000 viewers), which has not happened since July 2020 when the shows still aired against each other on Wednesdays. Dynamite did beat NXT in the 18-49 demo (0.28 rating to 0.22)
Due to a scheduling conflict with the MLB playoffs, Dynamite will air on Tuesday night next week and will go head-to-head with NXT.
As compared to the same week in 2022, Dynamite was down 22.9 percent in overall viewership and down 15.2 percent in the 18-49 demo.
Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for Dynamite, along with the 10-week averages in both categories. This week's show was down 9.8 percent in overall viewers and down 9.7 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
