I don't think so bc Dustin was just really fucked then and he'll be the first to say how much that affected his performances. There's guys that are just as good or sadly arguably better when theyre loaded but Dustin was an example of someone that needed sobriety to show how good he really was

To be fair that version of the match is a little bit better and I don’t think they should really do the traditional stretcher match anywhere anymore. Just wheeling them up to a certain line on the ramp is so anticlimactic at least with an ambulance, you have to fully load them in and shut the doors.

I thought he was really bad his last year or so in WWF and the WCW run just felt like more of the same. I love 2002-2003 Goldust for sure so that part is an exception for me but my personal favorite is 2008-2011 or so lower career, he got clean and started putting on some crazy good matches on the shows only I watched lol

Wouldn’t surprise me if they did trademark ambulance match but I always wondered exactly how that works because I remember WCW eventually just calling their last standing match last me standing match when Russo came in but I thought the reason why they never used that phrase was because it was trademarked.
