AEW Dynamite averaged 812,000 viewers on TNT last night, down 12.3 percent from last week. It's the lowest viewership for the show since April 7, the last night NXT aired directly opposite Dynamite on Wednesdays.
In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite drew a 0.28 rating, down 12.3 percent from the previous week. That ties the lowest mark for the show since March 31.
With limited ratings details available at this time, it's not known how Dynamite did in other demo categories or fared overall on the cable charts. There were two NBA play-in tournament games on ESPN that averaged 2.3 million and 5.6 million respectively, which bit into Dynamite's numbers.
In the 10 weeks prior to NXT moving to Tuesdays, Dynamite averaged 775,300 viewers and a 0.30 rating in 18-49. So this week's Dynamite drawing higher viewership than that average is likely due to older viewers who used to watch NXT on Wednesdays.
Year-over-year, Dynamite was up 17.1 percent in viewership and up 7.7 percent in 18-49. That's compared to when the show was running head-to-head with NXT in 2020.
Next week, Dynamite will air on Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern time due to a scheduling conflict with the NBA playoffs.
