Your role is almost always used to find character scum either want dead, to recruit or a lost traitor.

If not scum, an indy role that needs to lynch them perhaps. Rarely a town use. Although, there are exceptions.

I do believe I've seen it as indy in I think a Barry game now that you mention it but the recruiting/traitor stuff really didn't cross my mind. It was also a pain not really knowing what the scum team would be made up of character wise but you being MJF after softing Miro earlier cleared that up some
