Last night's AEW Dynamite averaged 941,000 viewers on TNT, down 10.6 percent from the show's previous Wednesday night airing on October 6. Dynamite had aired on Saturday the last two weeks due to scheduling conflicts with the NHL.
This is the lowest viewership number Dynamite has drawn in its regular time slot since July 7, which was the first week that Dynamite returned to a live touring schedule.
It should be noted that last night's Dynamite went up against game two of the World Series, which averaged more than 10 million viewers on Fox. This was also the first time that Dynamite aired live in every time zone, moving it outside of prime time in the Western and Mountain regions.
Dynamite drew a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is actually up 8.1 percent from the previous Wednesday airing. Dynamite finished fourth on the cable charts in the demo, trailing two separate NBA games on ESPN and Real Housewives on Bravo.
The only two demo groups to drop from the last Wednesday airing were males 12-34 and people over 50. The latter group dropped 24 percent and is the main factor in the overall audience drop. Not coincidentally, that's also a strong demo for baseball.
As compared to one year ago this week, when Dynamite went head-to-head with NXT's Halloween Havoc, Dynamite was up 20.5 percent in overall viewers and up 25 percent in 18-49.
Listed below are the last 11 weeks of ratings for Wednesday night Dynamite episodes. This week's show was down 16.3 percent in viewers and down seven percent in the demo as compared to the recent averages.
