In my eyes the best part about that spot was, that it was the actual finish. Anything else would have just been a throw away, but that they made it the finish was clever.

The second best part of the Mainer was the Blackout onto the side of the Steel Steps... and it was refreshing to see (and hear) an audience that actually knows when a "Holy shit" chant is placed at the best possible place to actually lift up a specific spot.

@Jimmy King when were you last watching NJPW regularly? Just asking bc what I've seen of pre-pandemic Jay i wasn't all that high on either but since he returned in late 2020 he's had some of my absolute favorite performances

I think it may have been early 2019 but I’m not certain. I recall his feud with Kenny and then he won the US title there.
