If Jay offers Kenny a Bullet Club t-shirt, then their story arc has been completed. I mainly except a Kota appearance personally.

Yeah, Kota Ibushi. This is mainly because in my head cannon, or fantasy booking, right now is that Kota makes a return and somehow someway it will be him versus Jay White at Wrestle Kingdom.

The other idea i have been thinking is if Kenny returns in great health and is fully ready to wrestle then he wins the AEW Championship belt and Wrestle Kingdom is headlined by Jay White versus Kenny Omega winner takes all match.

the only thing about Kota vs White at WK is it cant be for the title unless this exact scenario happens:
Jay White wins the G1
Jay White loses the title to Ibushi pior to WK

with Ibushi not booked in the G1, and White being current champion, a main event bout for the title is impossible outside of that.

I guess unless they do a briefcase match and have the g1 holder lose it to ibushi i suppose?

Jay vs. Kota as I mentioned is and more than likely just a fantasy match that I would like to see, because of the story behind it. The G1 briefcase is defended before you cash it in for any title shot, if I am not mistaken, and guess who had a briefcase match before. Kota Ibushi and Jay White at Power Struggle in 2020, in which Jay won after a sneaky pin.

During his appearance on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan announced that fans will learn Jay White's opponent at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite. White will be defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the event.

Khan also said that more NJPW talent, including those who haven't appeared yet, will be present on Dynamite.

"It's going to start the IWGP Champion Jay White coming in tonight and we're going to find out who he is going to wrestle. We're going to announce more matches tonight on Dynamite for this big event," he said. "Sometimes, if you open your mind, just checking out these different wrestlers, you're going to see there are so many top stars there, whether they are from Japan or other countries. Just a lot of great wrestling stars and wrestlers in New Japan. For us going forward, we're going to have new talent coming into AEW, too. There's been a lot of challenges in planning and injuries on our side, also logistics. Some of the top stars in new Japan have not been here yet. Tonight on Dynamite, you will see more wrestlers and more involvement from New Japan than we've seen so far. We'll see more of them and some of the stars we haven't seen yet."

Here is the current lineup for this Wednesday's card so far:

AEW Dynamite (6/22)

  • All-Atlantic Championship Qualifying Match: Penta Oscuro vs. Malakai Black
  • The United Empire (Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis & Will Ospreay) vs. Orange Cassidy & Roppongi Vice (Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero)
  • Jon Moxley & Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Chris Jericho & Lance Archer
  • Bryan Danielson set to appear live and address AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door as well as Blood & Guts
  • Christian Cage to speak
  • Toni Storm vs. Marina Shafir
  • More AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door announcements

new talent you coming in soon you say :komintrigue:
