fwiw, I still really liked the episode, first half especially was great. opening match and segment was fantastic

Agree, I really liked Brody/Darby and BCC/Best Friends. Watched those again today. Eddie and Jericho was starting out great, but I can't disagree with those saying it got messy towards the end and wasn't keen on the result, it was my most hyped match going in so I was pretty underwhelmed, their match at Revolution was really great. Just far too much going on here that I got took out of it by the end

Although the barbed wire around the bell and mic was killing me last night Seeing Justin Roberts holding it was brilliant

Yeah I do agree that Brody and Darby was great, as was BCC vs BFs and the return of JB.

I also feel bad for the AEW Music team since they made Luchasaurs a new theme and then it will no longer be used, lol

I'm waiting to see on that, people were saying last night they could still be swerving us and Lucha is still with Christian. Which would drum up more sympathy for JB if Lucha lays him out, I actually hope this happens because I was liking heel Lucha

If that is the case then that would be dumb in my book. I like AEW, but they are kind of becoming 2000s WCW with a swerve here, a swerve there, a swerve everywhere it is just dull and meaningless and will nullify an actual good swerve.

Or some other cute quip.Fightful Select was told by multiple AEW sources on Thursday morning that Cole Karter was "under an AEW deal," after his showing against Ricky Starks for the FTW Title on the July 20 AEW Dynamite, with Karter telling some AEW talent of the news. When we poked around, we were told that it was likely a tiered deal.Karter had performed under the moniker Troy Donovan on NXT before he was released and written off on TV due to a wellness policy violation. This isn't Karter's first rodeo with AEW, however. In 2021, he competed on several episodes of Dark in Jacksonville, and even an episode of Dynamite against Anthony Ogogo. Even after the shows were moved out of Jacksonville, he was used on shows in Pittsburgh and Orlando, as recently as last October.
