They were always cool up until like two weeks before Forbidden Door, I think it's easy to say they decided to band together against the new face Elite after whatever butthurtness Cole had

Kayfabe-wise, I will never understand how a kick to the head can be shrugged off by a wrestler but when they hold a shoe and hit someone with it, they're acting like they were hit by a train.

I'm very happy for the new champions. I'm still a little annoyed that they keep signing so many people that they need to put them in tag teams but those two work well together.
