hype for the women's division in AEW picked up when Toni's world title reign began
Thunder Rosa's reign sadly meet expectations, probably in part due to her injuries limiting her, but also just because AEW wasn't as focused about the women's division. But in the summer when Toni first challenged her, things were beginning to pick up steam. Then when Toni won it, we had her being a great workhorse on TV, Jamie was already getting organically over and she was can't miss. Then they had a banger at Full Gear. Jamie had another banger against Shinda, and now we have multiple storylines in the women's division going at once along with little ones developing. It's a solid improvement
