In addition to what is happening in the ring, there are so many exciting things happening behind the scenes at AEW right now. We’re on the verge of the most important announcements in the history of AEW. There are multiple aspects. The arrival of these announcements is imminent. We’ll have big news that could come at any time. Isn’t that the best kind of wrestling surprise when you know something is coming and you want it and it’s exciting, but you’re not sure when it’s going to happen? You have that feeling it’s going to happen. In this case, I have more than a feeling to paraphrase Boston. I have been working on this for a long time. We have a great team here. The future of AEW is very bright.

I'm still skeptical in the long run but I agree it makes them more desperate now. I just worry AEW gets tied to them too long and the company itself just goes under worse case scenario

I think the current management will last until a deal is done and that will result in a good one tho, double would be insane honestly. I think 1.4 times was like the predicted good outcome

I was thinking a 25% increase at best prior to the news about the NBA then I figured 50%.

Yeah anywhere from 25-50 I think would be that sweet spot for the podcasters too, the faithful will say it's great and the detractors will say it's too small of an increase lol I don't think you could swing that if it's over 50 or the same rate, which would be objectively good or bad IMO

If it's truly double than it sounds like WBD overreacted and overpaid. Especially considering TK didn't really want to go anywhere else.

Crazy thing is we'll never know the real number and just have to accept whatever we're told

Yeah someone mentionrd that the other day, if it's good I think they'll do a whole press release but that would be an AEW thing. I feel like the good sheets will get the actual number from the WBD side tho, not just go with what Tony tells them first. I'd trust a number from Fightful at least.

But what will be public that I do care more about is any new schedule changes or programming, I'm hoping ROH gets on that TNT sports block on TruTV that they're rebranding
