Dude's just a fan like everyone else. His opinion doesn't matter more or less than anyone else's.
indeed! is it a baseline to use for what is a GREAT match in MOST cases? of course. But that's pretty much where it end.Dude's just a fan like everyone else. His opinion doesn't matter more or less than anyone else's.
also this lolYeah but his makes people really mad and that's funny for me
makes sense.Fwiw he always says that if you're within .5 of anyone's rating (his or otherwise) in either direction then you agree with them on the overall quality, it's just preference. He even gets confused when people get mad over like .25 of a star and is like "this shit doesn't matter" lmao
That's fair. Up to an extent it's funny enough, to see idiots go completely bonkers over those ratings.Yeah but his makes people really mad and that's funny for me
Him basically saying "being within that amount of anyone else means those people are in the 'right' with their ratings" is also not quite the right thinking, imo, because there are way too many people out there throwing objectivity too often or too much out the window.
is it tiring or is it just you being annoyed by a small pocket of people? I don't see any problem in accepting that if he rates a match 5 stars, it's a good idea to go watch it. it's not like he's ever rated a dud 5 stars. I also see no issue with ppl being happy if they do get a 5 star rating on a match. Doesn't mean that if ppl discuss or talk about it that its the ONLY thing that matters.
I dunno, I guess I don't really understand having a problem with ppl talking about meltzer ratings
yeah that's pretty fair, I just don't think people really act like that here for the most part (the going overboard on ratings). People def do get triggered by the M word though on those threads though lolYears of being on the internet and having to deal with both sides of idiots that go overboard I'd guess. Not used to reasonable discussion where the M man is concerned.
It's Friday so I wonder how many threads I make from Observer news where people don't comment on the topic but just shit on Meltzer, as is tradition
Matt Jackson came up with the exploding superkick spot about a month ago. He wanted to do something that hadn’t been done and to do so he had to get a Nevada State Fire Performers license that other entertainment acts in Las Vegas using things like that as part of the show have to get.
