It's a whole nerd discussion inside the TEW realm but I subscribe to the build up show is historically better than the mythical perfect show thing which is something WWE invented under the assunotion that cool downs were always needed. I think you simply do your lowedt ranked match by whatever kayfabe terms you want to apply first and build up there in order and that's the best show like 90% of the time. The only thing you need is good 2-3 minute video packages for watch match in between, and you'll naturally have some longer ones for cleanup anyway where you can air promos

Like nothing is worst than a burnt out crowd during a pretty good but not great main event making it seem wlese and I just think that fear, which is cause by your own booking of said main event anyway usually, is what makes people want the cool downs so bad

But take tonight for example, nothing in the world would stop hype for hangman and Ospreay

yeah I can do pushback on match 1, in tew tho I usally justhook a very exciting work rate match of lower carders to stick to my own formula but also bc I know I do have to start hot lol

9 times out of 10 when following the too good of a semi main is the issue I think the problem was that should have just been the main. Always exceptions tho I can't stress that enough
