In its mid 2000s peak that is. I think the creation of EVOLVE took away a lot of its steam because, I think, the owner of FIP was also involved with EVOLVE and DGUSA.

So ring of honor with more zany characters
In a sense maybe. I just meant more in the sense that they booked mostly southeastern based guys, rather than those more north. Although there was a ton of talent overlap.

If you have the network/the COCK and some free time someday, I actually highly recommend checking out the EVOLVE shows on there. They're fun as fuck anyways with some great wrestling, but it's also fun to see baby versions of Cole, Chuckie T, Ricochet, and basically every other major star of OG AEW and Triple H's NXT.

New York/Philly was their main market back in the day. They moved the HQ to Baltimore after Sinclair bought it.

Yeah back in those days, the Tri State was popping like crazy with ROH, CHIKARA, CZW... basically all the biggest indie companies in the US other than PWG felt like they were in that little area.

Also ROH started going to Canada way back. I feel like they did Canada shit years before coming to places like Texas.

Full Impact Pro was the sister promotion of Ring of Honor. At one point, EVOVLE, FIP, RoH, and DGUSA were supposed to work under one banner sort of like a proto-NWA. They would have their own belts but also have unified banner belts as well.

And I think that arrangement existed between FIP, DGUSA and EVOLVE, going off of the WWN which was created by FIP's owner as a DVD service if I'm correct. Don't recall if they had a unified belt though?

Yeah, you are correct and they never did. It was thought of, but never went through or anything.
