AEW Dark: Elevation Discussion Thread

It's true that they tend to over protect their chosen ones. Last big shock was Cage beating Page on dynamite n Hangman still got his win back. I wouldn't mind a bit more unpredictability.

On the positive side, looks lie his partner is ready to go so hopefully they get some wins as a tag asap

Fun episode this week. Crockett was harmless thank god, really liked the main event.

Also, pretty sure they just switched the Dark and Dark: Elevation cards this week for Dark's 100th episode thing. Run times were switched and they taped them opposite too since this was before Dynamite instead of after. Might just be the thing going forward but I doubt it, this felt more like Dark wrestling than what Elevation has became since they'd mostly found an identity.

But this means a better card for Taz and Excalibur to call this week

Angelica Risk vs Red Velvet

Angelica showed a lot of personality, not too sure about that outfit haha. She really didn't get to show too much of her skills. Pretty quick match, but Angelica's dance moves were certainly impressive. Red Velvet looked good in this match.

Lee Johnson vs Marcus Kross

Love Marcus Kross hair first of all, really like his look. I was laughing how much Eddie hated it. Squash match so not much to say about this one. Lee Johnson has a good look too. Miro is looking real badass with that promo.

Ashley D'Amboise vs Kris Statlander

Kris Statlander definitely impresses me. This was a pretty quick match, but they both were worked well together for the brief time they were in there.

Rosario Grillo and Hunter Knott vs Aaron Solo Nick Comoroto

Nick Comoroto is fuckin impressive as hell, what a look on this guy. the one arm press was awesome.

Yuka Sakazaki vs Dani Jordyn

Always amazing to see Yuka on American soil. She is so impressive. Dani Jordyn is pretty talented, I dig her look. Dani got some good offense in, but Yuka proved to be too much for her. Really fun match.

Bear Bronson vs Darby Allin

I love Bear's look the mask is cool as hell. This was a really great match, and the contrast in size really worked for me. I always enjoy matches like that. Darby continues to put his body on the line, there was on spot where Darby looks like he lands on his neck into the turnbuckle. Made me cringe.

Overall, a pretty decent episode.

Janela heel-turn was totally out of nowhere. I am a big fan of when someone is a heel for one promotion, but then super babyface in another. Heel Joey, is a much better fit for AEW I feel. Him and Sonny were getting stale AF

RSP on AEW Elevation! Those GCW-AEW Links seem to be very much being cemented. I do think RSP and Cogar would make a great duo on AEW on a permanent basis. Having Brian beat him so easily - honestly, it just a miss-use of talent. Even Cage knows that that this match should be lasting way longer, I don't know sometimes Dark and Elevation just frustrate me beyond belief.
