I feel pretty good about the way AEW has structured their roster and how they've allocated attention to different acts.
Your top guys like Omega, Mox, Jericho, Archer, Hangman, Cody (who seemingly loses the most) and you could even say PAC take losses super rarely to the point where it's an occasion if they ever get beat cleanly.
Then you have the more young and up and coming talent bubbling beneath that who are also strongly protected; your Darby, MJF, Cage, Miro and Cassidy types.
There's also a clearly defined midcard mostly with established names who can take losses but still be warmed up for more important storylines if needed, which would include Dustin, Kingston, Matt, Spears and SCU.
And then below that as well you have the job squad. Cutler, Avalon, Janela, Kiss, Nakazawa, The Sydals, TH2 and Chaos Theory. They eat losses and it's no big deal. They're fine enough for enhancement.
Somewhere floating along in there as well, I feel, are the young talents that AEW sees a value in but don't necessarily feel the need to be overprotective of because they're young enough that they don't need to be winning every match right now. That's where you have Starks, Guevara, Silver and Jungle Boy. These dudes can afford to lose when it's reasonable. They clearly have a bright future but their time isn't right now, and it may in fact not be for another couple years or more depending on how the shit plays out.
