Thoughts: Good to see my boys smashing some more people. Garcia continues the intensity.

Thoughts: Yuta looking good, poor Baron Black 0-16 now. Hope he gets his first win sooner than later

Thoughts: Julia Hart is very green. She has the athleticism one day to be good, right now she just has to keep building up her skills. Some of the stuff she was doing was hard to watch.

Thoughts: Taz singing always cracks me up. Pretty decent match, the ending was pretty brutal though. Pretty cool seeing Marko so emotional meeting a hero of his. I'm ready to see Punk's switch turn on starting Sunday.

Let's hope. The first night was amazing, no debate. Now, it's getting to the point where it's exactly what I was concerned about, that he isn't going to have the same edge, underdog status and inner fire that made him great in the first place. Docile, civil Punk sucks. Obviously it's way too early to write him off, I'm sure they'll flip the switch with him soon. I'm excited to see where they go. Just end this shit already though.

I'm a subtlety and less is more kinda guy. Dude doing a rah-rah promo on every program since he debuted has just worn thin for me. As I said, I'm sure they'll hit the gas once this first match is out of the way and I'm looking forward to that. I won't miss the CM Punk honeymoon phase though.

I literally said the same thing as you. I'm also the type of fan that won't blindly enjoy something no matter what. Not saying anyone here, but there are people out there who praise anything AEW does, or WWE fans who phrase everything they do.

Beyond that, I don't blame anyone for enjoying this stuff. I'm definitely being exaggerated in my criticisms of Punk here. I am genuinely over him doing this happy to be back bit though, and I'm anxious for him to settle into an actual character. It's not like I think he's already been "ruined" or some shit (people love to throw that word around), I'm just ready to get onto the next phase of this thing.

Idk what the last part has to do with anything. The point was more than in the context of like 3/4 shows on a 2 week build, after 7 years, I'm not sure how else he should be acting once a real feud starts would be a fairer time to be critical. I'm enjoying seeing the guy happy personally , has nothing to do with blindly liking everything

Yea thats fair though, it's certainly not "exciting " n much like you I'm obviously more excited to get the match under his belt n start kicking shit into high gear . It's just in this case the honeymoon us kind of warranted in Chicago. I do understand it's it's bit of an overload tho
