Yeah that's my take as well. Simone Blies stuff is just heels using cheap heat imo and its fair game (albeit using the mental health line i can see from others pov why they didnt like it). But shes a public figure and its easy cheap heat, wtv, as a non american i dont give a shit ngl.

now that i understand more of the implication of the joke yeah it's defo crossing a line that doesn't need to be crossed, and was rightfully editted out. I think the main story here, however, is it was recorded a week ago and no one caught it. THATS a bad look

Reminds me of Jim Cornette's firing from the NWA after he said that shit about Africa, and I think he was the only person to take the fall for that even though it was taped and it should have really fell on someone above him to edit it out and reprimand him for it. Ah well. AEW gonna eat shit for this one for a little while but people will get over it.
