I think this is a great short term solution with the ultimate goal to be mend those fences eventually. As the date for the yet-to-be announced AEW Collision looms near, more details are being discussed as relates to CM Punk's return to the company and the discussed roster split between Dynamite and the new Saturday show.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the updated plan is for less of a "hard roster split" between the two shows and that Punk will appear on Dynamite when needed.
However, "those with unresolved issues with Punk would be on Collision the week he’s on Dynamite," wrote Meltzer. He also wrote that "the idea is to get people to resolve issues but that hasn’t happened yet nor has there been any notable progress."
When it comes to the female talent in AEW, "the thought is that the split will not be hard at all with the women as they don’t believe there is enough star power to do a hard split. "
As Meltzer noted, none of the details above are final.
The discussed new two-hour show is expected to air on TNT on Saturdays from 8-10 PM Eastern, kicking off at a yet-to-be announced late-June United Center event that would feature Punk's first AEW appearance since last September's All Out.
Dave will milk this as long as he can, but he’s also probably be fed this from someone. Who probably also thinks AEW benefits from milking it.yeah I still think either AEW or Meltzer is milking this they wont work in the same building shit.
I also think the bucks and kenny will continue to remain mum on the issue because its leverage for more money.Dave will milk this as long as he can, but he’s also probably be fed this from someone. Who probably also thinks AEW benefits from milking it.
I can’t say it doesn’t draw attention.
especially with a new tv show and tv deal about to be announced. those mfers are gonna look to get a fat bonus to re-signI also think the bucks and kenny will continue to remain mum on the issue because its leverage for more money.
More stuff from the Observer semi-related
yeah, looks like they canned dark and elvation and that will be rampage just on tvDidn't read anything about this new Saturday's show... is Rampage the new Elevation then? Because three shows with story-progressions is a bit much, even if it is good stuff.
I can live with that.yeah, looks like they canned dark and elvation and that will be rampage just on tv
ehhh I think they may drop universal but dont quote me. from what I am reading they taping ROH with Collision on SaturdaysHopefully that leaves ROH exclusively at Universal too
