He was hype about how BOTB did as a third hour too but let's not use that as an example of how a third hour should be done bc if that was weekly, you'd see way bigger drops after Collision than for a quarterly special

Shouldn’t make too much of a difference because Tony had to book the third hour, regardless, and he usually taped it right along side it.

Yeah but that's kinda my BOTB point. He can't book the third hour like he currently books Rampage bc that'd be a shitty third hour by comparison

Tbf Raw was the A show UNTIL they moved to Fox. A show doesn't always mean the better one. Also no thanks to 3 hours EVERY week. I don't mind the odd 3 hours but I agree it is very hard to book that every week and I think 2 hours is enough for a weekly show

Raw's 3rd hour is pretty much agreed on by everyone that it's unnecessary and makes the show a drag......so ofcourse Dynamite needs one too.

A third hour, when everyone and their mother been pissing on RAW for being 3 hours long for years now? I love the content AEW puts on, but man, these 3 hour shows were never a good thing.

From what I seen bout collision at least to me its a more high scaled ROH and should be where talent on ROH could and should be brought to Collision could be more about pure wrestling aspect as to Dynamite that still has the good wrestling but is a lil more sports entertainment wise (if that makes sense)

I will try to give this a balanced approach and opinions on pros and cons

pros:
- Dynamite feels rushed a lot of episodes (some ppl like that). Some stories at times feel they don't have time to breathe between segments. A third hour if booked in similar style could actually accommodate for all of Tonys crazy angles he wants to have every week.
- MORE WOMEN ON TV (pending approval )
- more utilization of all titles
- more focus on the under card and mid card

cons:
- consistently booking 3 hours is difficult and even more focus is required to keep coherent. not always dynamites strong suit.
- burnout from east coast, 11 pm is late for some, 3 hour almost always lowest rated hour for RAW
- potential to fuck up the flow or clog up the show with replay packages and commercials.
- potential to feel too much like WWE lite
- lack of good run through storylines will make 3 hour matchcards drag

Seems to be a fairly common consensus. ROH also taped with Collision so likelier crossover too

Tbh you could literally stretch most dynamites to 3 hours easily with a few replays, slightly longer matches, and more announcer exposition after segments lmao but will that make it better or not is the question and idk personally unless I see it
