I think the funniest part is how it puts over the ROH purchase as benefiting the match when I've heard so many people complain they didn't use more ROH footage to build the match lmao but I also think that's by design since they knew this wouldn't be THE match between the two, and was more of a vehicle to get to a bigger one where they probably well go hard with the history

yeah it wasn't even the best match of the night and did about the same biz as usual. Absolutely a puff piece but that's p much all SI does wrestling reporting wise, they do the same for WWE.

and all that is not to take away from Punks return n match, been great like I said above.

It’s a subjective opinion piece on wrestling. It was definitely going to be a puff piece. It’s not like they were doing investigative journalism about how Tony mistreats his female employees or anything.

But, yeah, for the record BCG and FTR stole the show.
