Didn't think twice at the fall. I thought MJF looked like a star at the top of the cage. People looking for stuff to criticize
Are you sure it's not just people expressing their takes on what they're seeing as folks typically do? :lol

I was critical of the flagrant crash pad, cause this is is meant to be a bump that I'm assuming leads to Jericho being gone for a while, but the fall looked cushy as hell and I can't take that seriously. Having said that, I was still very complimentary of the match and I'm not gonna go as far as to say that the crash pad ruined the angle. It was just something that could have been executed better.

Thinking it could be executed better is totally fair because it could have been. The people acting like the whole match is shit I've seen on twitter made me roll my eyes.

Blood and Guts was what I wanted it to be. A war. NXT version is great in it's own right but it ain't War Games. It's a great match but it never feels like a war. This did. Overall loved it though pacing of the end/ the post-match spot could have been done better.

The crash pad could have been better, but the actual finish of the match was just what I wanted. MJF threatens to "kill" Jericho, so Sammy surrenders. Perfection.

I don't even mind this finish in theory, I just think this part could have been executed well too tbf. It did have that chaotic "did that just end the match" vibes that the old WarGames matches had tbf though :WOW Some of my favorites back in the 80s and 90s had lackluster finishes by most people's standards I think :lol

I think the WarGames at Great American Bash '89 ended like 2 minutes after Hawk entered last bc he got someone in a hangman's neckbreaker and they just tapped like that lmao

In a way I'm still more forgiving for the explosion too bc that seemed to be a full on accident where in this one everything went as planned lmao
