AEW Awards - Nominations Thread

Hi everyone,

So I know Chris and I have discussed doing these in the past and it is getting close to the end of the year now with only one PPV to go , so I wanted to get the ball rolling now. I was planning on doing a live video with the results kind of like @Samoa Jake did for BOTS. If you have further category ideas please reach out to me about it.

Here are the current categories - please send 3 weighted numbered picks for each category. your first pick will get 3 pts, 2nd 2pts and 3rd 1pt. If you only send in one pick, it will be worth 3 points. if you send 2 it will be 3 and 2 pts respectively. You get the idea. If you have any questions feel free to ask here or DM me.

wrestler of the year - considers kayfabe achievements, popularity, in ring etc - the whole thang

most outstanding - basically the best worker. its the award that is essentially dominated by kenny omega and will ospreay in the last few years if that helps too.

last year I believe the respective winners were roman reigns and will ospreay.

if you want an AEW made up example : whatever year Britt won the belt - she would have been female wrestler of the year but hikaru shida would have been the most outstanding wrestler.

In my mind it's not necessarily kayfabe but just drawing power, mic skills and ring work in one.

And the Observer has seprate awards for biggest draw, best on the mic and best ring work too

absolutely - i was coming up with some as I went so the order is not 100% canon

So let's just rename them categories... Best Female/Male In-Ring Performer and Best Female/Male Overall Performer

Or heck... call 'em best male/female sports entertainer and best male/female professional Wrestler...
