The original brand split worked for only one reason, they actually made the brands different. If the only thing making it a split is half your roster can't fight, it sucks. If you actually different divisions you only see on one show, having totally different presentations, different looks, etc, then ok, but I don't think anyone knows how to do that in 2021 and AEW don't need to.
