He might and probably will, eventually. But a lot of his heat is gone. He talked a lot of shit and not only did he fail to walk the walk, Mox made him look like a bitch when he out cheated him. I expect about another year at least of building him back up.

No way it takes a year. He might win the AEW World Title, but he'll still be a top guy, maybe even get the TNT Title at some point.

Honestly, for MJF to win it, it has to be after Cody some how goes back on his word and wins it. Then let MJF beat Cody for it.

tbf I think it's better for MJF's character arc to win the world title later when he treats the most prestigious prize in the company/sport as a legitimate championship instead of goofing around and treating it as a presidential platform just because 2020 is Election Year

They’re PPVs are months apart and Mox is feuding with Archer next. It’ll be a while before Mox and MJF are the to toe again or another baby has it for MJF to challenge for and MJF needs to get his heat back. It took him a whole year to get this title shot. I don’t see it being much less for the next shot.

I don’t even mean it has to be a full shot, but Double or Nothing next May at the earliest imo.
