Phil Brooks is a petty man. Even if the AEW locker room is cool with him coming back, he might pull a Cornette, “Thank you, Fuck you, bye.”

Ironically this is why I expect him to stay in AEW and not go to WWE. I think even now there is likely more animosity between Punk and WWE people than AEW and Punk. If anything he's going to run FPJ company or stay in AEW

While I do think there’s money in him finishing his story with MJF and a match with Omega, a strong part of me think he’s done with wrestling.

And no offense to CM Punk, wrestling will be just fine without him. I said it before, Punk doesn’t need wrestling and wrestling doesn’t need him.

there was a few roving ideas. there was a time when it seemed punk camp was pushing to get released but that was never confirmed. consensus was they wouldn't let him go to WWE unless they straight up fired him for cause and as more time goes on the less likely that is.

only thing I think is a safe bet is no decision is being made while he's on the shelf with an injury

Think that’s only on Regal tbh. Kaz got his release and was on Impact not long after.

regal had a conditional release, kaz had a full release with no strings attached. it being a private company likely means it's going to be on a case by case basis
