I got spoilered and know who won (if that wasn't a joke or something), but I haven't read anything in the Adam Cole thread and only know about this whole situation, what had been said in the Zero Hour show. ...and I was heckin' confused as to why they added Dustin and Sammy to this, instead of just having Daniel v Fletcher, but then it got me thinking and over time, it made more sense... especially since I heard who won.
Before I watch this match, I'm thinking the original match involved some finish that sees Garcia saving Cole from being hit by a Title or something along those lines, so Adam can then retain afterwards (because obviously Fletcher wasn't planned as the winner here, otherwise it would make no sense whatsoever what they did)... just so Kyle can win it next PPV (possibly in a 3-Way with Garcia and Cole?)... and with that in mind it does fit to bring some home talent in to snap up the Title and hold it for a month until Kyle can get it... that's better than bringing someone completely new into the Title picture, just to have them drop it in some weeks.
And Dustin winning his first AEW Title is actually pretty rad.
