Tony booked this too near perfection. I don’t say that too often so I love to emphasize it when I do. He brought in someone with huge upside. He immediately put her with the world champion. They played the long game, built it well, built it right. Made Mariah look like 1 million bucks when she turned on Toni with that bloody scene of an ending of that dynamite leading to her winning the title by getting in Tony‘s head because she couldn’t do the same to her and return the bloody shoe favor and then she beat her with her own finishing maneuver. Mariah comes out of this, not only the winner not only a champion, but she is now in AEW’s top echelon. She’s a made superstar now.
